19-22 May 2026 in Belize, In-person meeting
The Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) NDE Forum and Capacity Building Programme will take place on May 19-22, 2026 in San Ignacio, Belize, bringing together government representatives, partners, and climate technology leaders from across the region to share good practice and lessons learned, enhance collaboration across the region and engage with CTCN Network members at a Network Fair.
Building on over a decade of impact in more than 110 developing countries, the NDE Forum will showcase how climate technologies, innovation systems, and digital solutions are driving a systems-level transformation for climate resilience. The event will highlight regional priorities, lessons learned and best practice of successful technical assistances, climate technology innovation, and emerging opportunities aligned with Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), Technology Needs Assessments (TNAs), and Technology Action Plans (TAPs), while strengthening collaboration among countries in LAC and the broader climate ecosystem. Finally, the Forum will also help identify financial opportunities for climate technology projects in the region.
Held alongside a region-tailored capacity-building programme on National Systems of Innovation (NSI) for Climate Resilience and Access, the Forum will provide a dynamic platform for dialogue, networking, and partnership-building. The participating NDEs will explore pathways to scale climate technologies across key sectors, including energy, agriculture, water, mobility, and digitalization, with a strong focus on mobilizing finance and enhancing implementation.
The Forum will be held in conjunction with a region-tailored thematic capacity-building programme, CTCN will deliver one-day Workshop on Cross-sectoral System Transformation at Water-Energy-Food Nexus for the LAC NDEs. The workshop will share an overarching objective of learning automation technologies, such as drones and robotics, that can be integrated with AI software to achieve cross-sectoral changes for water and energy management.
As part of newly introduced efforts under the Network Engagement Strategy, the Forum will host its first ever Network Fair, creating a more deliberate and visible platform for a select group of Network members to engage onsite with National Designated Entities and strengthen sustained, meaningful interaction.
