My expertise lies in ensuring GESI mainstreaming across all aspects of development work.

Carolina Hedman is a global innovation leader, technology entrepreneur, and sustainability strategist with more than two decades of international experience working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, immersive technologies, climate innovation, and digital ecosystems. She is the CEO of Globalyx and is widely recognized for designing and scaling cross-border initiatives that connect climate intelligence, emerging technologies, and inclusive innovation.

I have 20+ years of research, relief, and developmental work experience in the field of market and economic development; green TVET; food security; and health and nutrition in Nepal, India, Yemen and Israel while working for private, civil society, and government agencies. I have designed and managed both MEAL and project implementation for the project financed by Happel/ Gates/ Cargill Foundation, BMZ, ECHO, EU, USAID, FCDO, BMGF, SIDA, DFAT and UNWFP; that also included designing and handling of “innovation challenge funds”.

Dr. Jaabir Hussein, is a climate resilience and analytics specialist (PhD), with expertise in climate risk assessment, climate modelling, and adaptation planning in data-poor environments. In his last role at GCA, he served Climate Analytics Specialsit, supporting standardized CRA methodologies and resilient investment design across Africa and Asia. He has worked on projects in Tanzania, Bangladesh, Chad, Morocco, and the DRC, combining scientific modelling with practical, community-focused adaptation solutions.

Dr Anand Sookun is a Mauritian climate change, biodiversity, and sustainability expert with extensive experience in climate change mitigation and adaptation, climate technology, land management, ecosystem-based adaptation, and gender mainstreaming.

Ksenia Kurileva is the founder of ALMANAC Co., a strategic consultancy advancing industrial sustainability and climate technology commercialization across EMEA. She specializes in innovation pathways and demonstration projects for hard-to-abate sectors working with global industrials and government agencies, multilateral organizations including UNDP, to bridge research, development, and demonstration with scaled deployment.

I am an environmental specialist with over a decade of experience in climate change mitigation, greenhouse gas inventory analysis, and climate vulnerability assessment. Holding a B.Sc. in Environmental Protection and Disaster Risk Management from Kabul University, I currently serve as a Greenhouse Gases Analysis Expert at the National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA) of Afghanistan.

Nancy Marangu is passionate to advance inclusion, gender equity, and climate resilience. In her capacity as Co-founder & Strategy Specialist at Chemichemi Foundation, Kenya, she envisions an inclusive infrastructure that empowers youth, women, indigenous peoples and local communities with technical skills in space science for climate resilience. Under Nancy's leadership, the Foundation focuses on upskilling women and youth in environmental justice, encouraging them to drive innovation and develop practical solutions for climate action.

Bettinah Maruti is a climate adaptation and climate technology practitioner based in Kenya, with an academic background in Computer and Electronic Systems Engineering and professional training in climate policy. She is UN FAO-certified in Climate Change Negotiations for Agricultural Stakeholders and works at the intersection of technology deployment, climate-smart agriculture and capacity development in developing-country contexts.
