Bettinah Maruti is a climate adaptation and climate technology practitioner based in Kenya, with an academic background in Computer and Electronic Systems Engineering and professional training in climate policy. She is UN FAO-certified in Climate Change Negotiations for Agricultural Stakeholders and works at the intersection of technology deployment, climate-smart agriculture and capacity development in developing-country contexts.
She is the Founder of nanaHeal Enterprises, a climate innovation organization focused on transforming agricultural waste into organic inputs and enabling smallholder farmers to adopt climate-resilient practices. Through her work, Bettinah has contributed to the design and implementation of inclusive, technology-enabled solutions supporting hundreds of smallholder farmers and women-led enterprises, particularly in climate-vulnerable rural areas. Her experience includes integrating digital tools, nature-based solutions and participatory approaches to improve access to climate technologies while ensuring gender-responsive and socially inclusive outcomes.
Bettinah has worked with diverse stakeholders, including farmers, youth and women’s groups, research institutions, and international partners, translating climate policy frameworks and technical concepts into practical, scalable interventions aligned with national priorities and UNFCCC processes.
