Dr. Jaabir Hussein, is a climate resilience and analytics specialist (PhD), with expertise in climate risk assessment, climate modelling, and adaptation planning in data-poor environments. In his last role at GCA, he served Climate Analytics Specialsit, supporting standardized CRA methodologies and resilient investment design across Africa and Asia. He has worked on projects in Tanzania, Bangladesh, Chad, Morocco, and the DRC, combining scientific modelling with practical, community-focused adaptation solutions. Jaabir is currently the founder and CEO of the Institute for Research, Impact & Development (IRID), promoting evidence-based policy and locally led climate resilience in Somalia.
