Dr Anand Sookun is a Mauritian climate change, biodiversity, and sustainability expert with extensive experience in climate change mitigation and adaptation, climate technology, land management, ecosystem-based adaptation, and gender mainstreaming. He has worked with major international organizations including UNFCCC, IPCC, UNEP, SADC, COMESA, and GIZ (RAC sector), reviewing for UNFCCC and contributing to IPCC guidelines and supporting governments and civil society across Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and Africa on climate policy, biodiversity conservation, environmental economics, and capacity building, promoting integrated, innovative, and inclusive approaches to sustainable development.
