Carolina Hedman is a global innovation leader, technology entrepreneur, and sustainability strategist with more than two decades of international experience working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, immersive technologies, climate innovation, and digital ecosystems. She is the CEO of Globalyx and is widely recognized for designing and scaling cross-border initiatives that connect climate intelligence, emerging technologies, and inclusive innovation.
Carolina serves as Country Director for Sweden in the Women in Tech – Global Movement and holds leadership roles in the immersive technology ecosystem as President of VRARA Sweden and XR Women Sweden. She is a Senior Fellow at AI for Development (AIFOD), a member of the Climate Technology Centre & Network (CTCN), part of the EIC Partner ecosystem, and a member of NAZCA UN, contributing to global climate action initiatives aligned with international sustainability frameworks. She also collaborates within European innovation networks such as Aurora and participates in international industrial innovation initiatives connected to UNIDO programs in Saudi Arabia, supporting technology-driven sustainable development.
Her work focuses strongly on climate innovation, regenerative economies, and data-driven sustainability. She leads international initiatives such as Climate Living Labs – From Seed to Shift, which integrates education, circularity, community participation, and emerging technologies to accelerate climate resilience. She is also co-founder of Harvverse, a pioneering platform that combines real-time environmental data, artificial intelligence, digital twins, blockchain, and gamification to support sustainable agriculture, climate transparency, and carbon market readiness.
Carolina’s projects have received significant international recognition. Harvverse was selected among the Top 100 global innovations at Prototyping for Humanity, became a finalist at the Agritech Spain Awards, and received an award at Connecta B2B Latin America. Other initiatives under her leadership have been recognized by the World Summit Awards (WSA) and the AI Europa Awards, while her climate-focused DeFi innovation was nominated for the Golden DeFi Award at Fintech Americas.
She has built global collaborations across Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, working with governments, universities, foundations, multilateral organizations, and leading technology partners including Meta, AWS, Salesforce, and European innovation programs such as Horizon Europe and Vinnova. Her professional expertise combines agile leadership, innovation strategy, AI governance (ISO 42001), and information security (ISO 27001).
