I am an environmental specialist with over a decade of experience in climate change mitigation, greenhouse gas inventory analysis, and climate vulnerability assessment. Holding a B.Sc. in Environmental Protection and Disaster Risk Management from Kabul University, I currently serve as a Greenhouse Gases Analysis Expert at the National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA) of Afghanistan. I am also the National Focal Point for Afghanistan to the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) and the Capacity-building Initiative for Transparency (CBIT-GSP), and a registered expert in the UNFCCC Roster of Experts since 2019.
My professional background includes leading roles in national GHG inventory reporting (IPCC 2006 Guidelines), participation in the revision of Afghanistan’s NDCs, capacity-building training delivery, and technical reviews under the Paris Agreement's Enhanced Transparency Framework. I have collaborated with organizations such as UNEP, UNITAR, UNFCCC, CARE, and AKAH on various climate and environmental initiatives.
In addition to my technical expertise, I bring strong skills in project management, GIS (ArcGIS and QGIS), data visualization, and stakeholder engagement. I am committed to advancing climate resilience in vulnerable communities and promoting science-based climate policy through capacity-building and international cooperation.
