My main roles are as follows: 1) Drive business development for Earth observation solutions supporting climate change and disaster management using satellite imagery, 2) Support global market expansion of satellite imaging services for environmental monitoring and risk assessment, 3) Build satellite imagery use cases across climate resilience, disaster response, and industry applications.

I am a gender and climate specialist with over 15 years of experience integrating gender equality and social inclusion into climate policy, sustainable technology initiatives, and environmental governance processes. I hold an MSc in Management of Agro-ecological Knowledge and Social Change from Wageningen University and a BSc in Biology (Ecology), combining technical understanding with systems thinking and participatory change methodologies.

Carolina Hedman is a global innovation leader, technology entrepreneur, and sustainability strategist with more than two decades of international experience working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, immersive technologies, climate innovation, and digital ecosystems. She is the CEO of Globalyx and is widely recognized for designing and scaling cross-border initiatives that connect climate intelligence, emerging technologies, and inclusive innovation.

I have 20+ years of research, relief, and developmental work experience in the field of market and economic development; green TVET; food security; and health and nutrition in Nepal, India, Yemen and Israel while working for private, civil society, and government agencies. I have designed and managed both MEAL and project implementation for the project financed by Happel/ Gates/ Cargill Foundation, BMZ, ECHO, EU, USAID, FCDO, BMGF, SIDA, DFAT and UNWFP; that also included designing and handling of “innovation challenge funds”.
