The CTCN Partnership and Liaison Office (PALO) is hosting its third annual learning visit on green hydrogen on July 14-16, 2026, bringing together researchers and government representatives from across Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America and the Caribbean for an immersive three-day programme in Seoul and Daejeon, South Korea.

Participants will engage with three of Korea's leading research institutions - the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER), and the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT) - gaining hands-on exposure to cutting-edge green hydrogen production technologies and fuel cell innovation.

The 2026 cohort includes ten participants from Brazil, Chile, Egypt, Guinea, Indonesia, Kenya, Namibia, Paraguay, and South Africa, countries at the forefront of national green hydrogen strategies and policies.

The visit builds on the success of the 2023, 2024 and 2025 editions, which have already generated concrete follow-up collaboration between participants and Korean research institutions, including ongoing discussions on joint R&D projects between Thailand and KIER.

This learning visit is part of CTCN's broader efforts to stimulate North-South, South-South, and triangular research, development and demonstration (RD&D) collaboration on climate technologies.
