With over 15 years of experience as a researcher and educator in five countries, I am a UNDP vetted gender and social inclusion expert who applies participatory and equity-centered approaches to research and evaluation. I have expertise in gender as a cross-cutting theme in various areas of international development migration, climate change-related displacement and livelihood, youth development and education. In my past roles, I provided project development, management, and support for research on gender integration and mainstreaming, intersectionality, and system-level change.

My role as a Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting Assistant Consultant at the Green Climate Fund involved the collection and consolidation of data and information on the performance of GCF’s portfolio of projects for both Funded Activities and Readiness throughout the lifecycle. My work helped me contribute to key functions across the Secretariat, including but not limited to reporting on the GCF portfolio, its financial performance and adaptation and mitigation impacts and building of portfolio performance management systems, tools, platforms.

I have formal education in Environmental management and Surinamese law. I have worked with Indigenous and Tribal Peoples in Suriname and in the Guianas for more than 8 years now in the fields of nature conservation, bio-cultural conservation, community development, environmental communication, environmental policy, community health and education. 

Currently I am specializing in environmental law and climate diplomacy. 

Martin Mulenga, a dedicated international environmental Consultant , Philosopher-historian and Political Scientist brings a wealth of expertise to the realm of environmental conservancy. Armed with a degree in Philosophy, a diploma in Religious Studies, and a Certificate in Transformative Leadership and Mental Health a, he has also undergone training on Environmental Sustainability. Martin is the Founder and CEO of Green Cosmos Zambia, a prominent environmental organization fostering sustainable practices and climate action.

I am a C.S.I.R Doctorate in the subject area of Earth and Environment Management, India. I have qualified the National Educational Test (N.E.T. U.G.C) New Delhi. I have fifteen years of  teaching experience at UG / PG levels and Engineering stream, contributing to the subject of Energy & Environment Management, Climate Change Impact, Disaster Risk Resilience and Disaster Mitigation and Management.

As Gender and Inclusion Lead for the UAE COP28 Presidency and with a postgraduate degree in Gender Studies and International Law, I have a proven track record in gender in relation to climate, development and foreign policy.

Italian-Lebanese Communications Manager, with a background in Natural and Environmental Sciences, I am a consultant/expert on issues related to ecofeminism, I have been dealing with climate change and sustainability since 2019. I currently collaborate with the Albanian Observatory (founded by UNICEF), thanks to which I had the opportunity to develop a research on the impacts of climate change on Albanian women, with a focus on water, agriculture, health and environmental disasters.

Renata Koch Alvarenga, from Brazil, is a leading voice on gender and climate justice in the global youth movement, and has been involved for almost a decade in the gender and climate space as an expert and speaker in global conferences in 10+ countries. She founded the youth-led and Brazil-based organization EmpoderaClima at 22 years old, to raise awareness of the need for women’s empowerment in climate decision-making spaces, and advocate for girl’s education and climate action in the Global South – more specifically in Latin America and the Caribbean.

I am a data scientist with over 15 years of experience in the field of social justice and international development. I am inspired by an internal mission to facilitate meaningful research at the intersection of environmental science and human development and by the use of state-of-the-art information technology to inform evidence-based policy and decision-making.
