Since 2005 I have been working extensively in the fields of climate resilience, rural development, poverty alleviation and their intersection with gender equality, social inclusion and women’s empowerment.

Marta has worked at the intersection of technology & innovation and social impact for over 15 years. For the past 3 years she has been running an accelerator program for women led startups working on greentech products in Europe. This year she has been working on taking this program global, building out a strategy, funding deck and pipeline. Marta has been actively producing communications materials highlighting the gender/ climate nexux, some of the highlights include:

Joshua Sikhu OKONYA is the Program Officer for Agricultural Technology and Innovation at the Association for Strengthening Agricultural Research in Eastern and Central Africa (ASARECA). Under this role, Joshua has facilitated regional collaboration in the development, dissemination, and promotion of priority agricultural Technologies Innovations and Management Practices (TIMPs) across 15 ASARECA member countries.

I run a community of 540 Australian climate tech companies.

Dr. Siad Darwish is an anthropologist and peacebuilder specialized in inclusion and environmental peace and conflict. Dr. Darwish is a research associate at the University of Melbourne’s Initiative for Peacebuilding and leads CDA Collaborative Learning Projects participatory research project on climate security.  As an independent consultant, Dr. Darwish has conducted research and given policy advise for the British Foreign Office, the European Union, UNDP, USAID, UNWomen, SIDA, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, amongst many others.

Hilda Kabuli is a Research Statistician with adequate knowledge on research design, data collection techniques and analysis as well as presentation of the scientific results. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Statistics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. She currently works for the Department of Agricultural Research Services (DARS) in the Ministry of Agriculture as a Chief Agricultural Research Statistician since 2003. She has over 20 years’ experience working as a Research Statistician.

Moses is an accomplished Forestry and Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Program Manager, boasting over 6 years of experience as a results-driven sustainability leader. In this role, he developed and supervised the implementation of environmental, social, and corporate governance policies. Moses successfully led the AFOLU project in Southern and Northern Zambia, focusing on conserving 1,000,000 hectares and afforesting 20,000 hectares, adhering to Social Carbon standards.
