Please provide your short bio reflecting on your academic, professional and practical background

A female in engineering and an engineer in government and consulting, Giulia Marzetti has crafted a portfolio career as a consultant, project manager and policy officer in sustainable transport, energy storage, and AI applied to cities and industry.  

As European Commission Project Officer, she was overseeing a £75 Million portfolio of sustainable innovation projects in Europe fostering a green transition. 

As a UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) advocate, Giulia has been advocating for the use of technologies to build a more sustainable and equitable world.   She was responsible for the gender mainstreaming key Horizon Europe investments in industries and technologies, assessing positive additionalities of said technologies on gender. 

Among several accolades, Giulia has been named Top50 Women in ESG by the Financial Times, Top50 Women in Engineering in the UK and 30 under 30 by the North American Association for Environmental Education. 

Through her environment education activities, Giulia has been name a Coalition Wild Fellow, a European Climate Pact Ambassador and a global change-maker at Impactr and UNLEASH.

She is regularly a speaker and delegate at high level conferences and events as the UN Conference of Parties, UNECE, Obama Foundation Europe Town Hall, the Bill&Melinda Gates Foundation "Goalkeepers" and G.STIC Conference in Brussels. She has been a delegate at UNFCCC COP, COP27, COP28.
