Carolina Hedman is a leader in emerging technologies, sustainability, and digital innovation. Born in Mexico and based in Sweden for the past two decades, she has transformed her migration experience into a driving force for inclusion and empowerment within European and global tech ecosystems. Her work bridges artificial intelligence, XR (extended reality), blockchain, and sustainability, always with a human‑centered and transformative approach.
She is the founder and CEO of Globalyx, a consultancy that combines Design Thinking with disruptive technologies to accelerate business innovation. Since 2023, she has served as President of the VR/AR Association (VRARA) Sweden, promoting XR and metaverse adoption in the Arctic region. In 2025, she also became Country Director of Women in Tech Sweden, advancing female leadership in STEM. Carolina contributes as an expert to international networks such as the UN CTCN, AURORA H2020, and AIFOD, supporting responsible AI and climate technologies.
As a European Climate Pact Ambassador, she leads initiatives such as Climate Living Lab, applying AI and blockchain to combat climate challenges. Her commitment to innovation with impact was also highlighted when her project was nominated as a finalist in Prototyping for Humanity (2025), an initiative spotlighting technology solutions designed for social good.
Her global recognition includes prestigious awards such as the Fintech Americas DeFi Gold Award (2024) for Harvverse, the B2B Award for Best UX in the Metaverse (2024), and the WSA Latin America Robotics Award (2025). In addition, she was named by Mundo Ejecutivo among the 100 most influential women in IT (2025).
Carolina extends her expertise into academia through her role as Guest Professor in innovation and sustainability in Azerbaijan and Dubai, where she inspires the next generation of leaders at the intersection of technology, inclusion, and climate resilience.
