There is no better window-opportunity for CTCN to strategically support the Academy, the Public and Private sectors and Civil Society Organizations in developing economies and accelerate the energy transitions pathways while effectively meeting Agenda 2030, Paris Agreement and New Urban Agenda goals. In the short term, it is fairly evident that the enabling conditions that renewables-dependent systems offer to accelerate sustainable development are way more reliable over fossil-fuel based systems with high volatility.

Dastan is a multidisciplinary researcher and a professor (Assistant) in socioeconomics, environmental and regional economics at Mendel University in Brno. He obtained a PhD in economics and management of renewable resources from the Department of Forestry and Wood Economics and Policy, Mendel University in Brno, the Czech Republic. More so, he obtained a master's degree in Regional Development at Mendel University in Brno in 2016. Dastan obtained a Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration (B.A. Honors) from Kyambogo University in Uganda in 2011.

Cathy Yitong Li has been focusing on multilateral climate processes and civil society advocacy since she was a teenager, including serving advisory and governance roles across 7 UN bodies and various international organisations.

Passionate about the synergies between climate and nature, Cathy is the IUCN Climate Commission Deputy Chair and by profession, the Nature Programme Manager of the High Level Climate Champions Team.

Johana Kunin holds a PhD in Social Anthropology (EHESS, France & IDAES/UNSAM, Argentina). She isa Tenured Researcher at Argentine National Center for Scientific Research CONICET (Strategic Issues: Environment Commission). She holds a Master's in International Studies (Universidad Torcuato Di Tella) and a Social Anthropology Bachelor's Degree (Licence en Ethnologie, Université Paris 8, France). She is an Associate Professor in Anthropology at UNSAM. She has published and presented her work in several national and international publications and conferences.

Nancy is passionate to advocate for climate and disability mainstreaming. Nancy has played a pivotal role in driving inclusive and sustainable solutions at the nexus of gender equality and climate resilience within rural households in Kenya. Nancy is keen to implement strategies that harness technology to empower marginalized groups, particularly women, in the face of climate challenges.

My name is Jessica Rakotoarisoa, I am originally from Madagascar but based in Canada. I am a former International Youth Climate Delegate at COP28 and currently finishing my Ph.D in social communication at the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières.

Anne Barre coordinates Gender and Climate Programmes at WECF - Women Engage for a Common Future, an ecofeminist network NGO, which advocates at local and global levels for women's rights and gender justice in all climate and sustainable development policies. Anne Barre has been involved with WECF for 22 years, contributing to the successful implementation of numerous field projects in the areas of access to water, sustainable agriculture and energy, climate policy, environmental health. In 2008, she founded the French office of WECF, which she chaired for 8 years.

With more than 26 years of experience, Kakha Nadiradze has positioned himself in various management positions with the vision of promoting innovative and scientific development in Climate Change and Biodiversity Conservation, he provides professional advisory/consulting/extension services to Government, Policy Makers, producers and agricultural companies around the world in the implementation of sustainable agricultural systems, comprehensive optimization of Agribusiness and evaluation of market opportunities.

I am a multidisciplinary early career scientist with MSc Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management, BSc Fisheries and Aquaculture and several other capacity development qualifications including but not limited to the field of Climate Change mitigation and adaptation such as training on the Enhanced Transparency Framework by the Consultative Group of Experts of the UNFCCC for technical review of Biennial Transparency Reports and Biennial Update Reports.
