Gretel Posadas is an international consultant in ocean policy, climate diplomacy, and strategic advisory, with dual French and Honduran nationality. She has built a career at the intersection of international relations, sustainable development, and cultural diplomacy, supporting national delegations, governments, and NGOs in advancing climate and ocean governance agendas.
Her professional expertise spans multilateral negotiations, coalition-building, and stakeholder engagement with institutions such as the United Nations, OECD, UNESCO, and Ocean Conservancy. She has supported the participation of coastal communities and delegations in global forums including the UN Ocean Conference (UNOC), UNFCCC COP processes, and SDG14 dialogues, with a focus on marine conservation, blue economy initiatives, and sustainable fisheries. Recognized for her ability to bridge grassroots actors and international institutions, she has facilitated access to global financing and strengthened South–South cooperation.
Currently, Ms. Posadas serves as Director of Cultural Diplomacy and Global Relations at the Center for Cultural Diplomacy in Paris, where she develops strategies linking cultural diplomacy with environmental and climate objectives. Previously, she was International and Strategic Partnership Advisor to the Royal Commission for AlUla in Saudi Arabia, where she built cross-sector partnerships for sustainable heritage and tourism projects showcased at the World Economic Forum. She also founded a Paris-based consultancy providing strategic advice on investment and sustainable development in Europe and North America.
Ms. Posadas holds an MBA in International Relations & Organizational Behavior from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Master’s in International Business & Political Science from Université Paris VIII. She is certified in International Climate Negotiations and REDD+ implementation. Fluent in Spanish, English, and French, she is a member of “Women Actions for the Ocean 2025” and the French cultural diplomacy network Bienvenue en France.
