Green Climate Fund
The Green Climate Fund catalyzes investment in transformative climate technologies. As the operating entities of the Convention - CTCN under the Technology Mechanism and GCF under the Financial Mechanism - both established under the CMA and governed by the COP, we work together to support developing countries in accessing finance for low-emission, climate-resilient development pathways. We place strong emphasis on country-driven priorities and coordinated national ownership.
Global Environment Facility
As one of the oldest and largest multilateral environmental funds, the Global Environment Facility supports a broad range of environmental projects, often smaller in scale. In partnership with the UN Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), our collaborative projects enhance countries’ adaptive management capacities to address climate challenges effectively.
World Intellectual Property Organization - WIPO
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) promotes the use of intellectual property to support innovation and technology development, including in the field of climate change. In collaboration with the CTCN, WIPO helps build capacity and facilitate access to the WIPO GREEN database, supporting the transfer and deployment of climate technologies in developing countries.
Adaptation Fund
The Adaptation Fund finances concrete climate adaptation projects that help vulnerable communities in developing countries adapt to climate change. Initiatives are based on country needs, views and priorities. Our joint efforts support countries to test, scale up and leverage innovative, transformative, and locally led climate adaptation technologies across the technology cycle and anchor these into National Systems of Innovation.
Women Engage for a Common Future (WECF)
The Women Engage for a Common Future champions gender equality and women’s leadership in environmental and climate action. Through our collaboration, we advance gender-just climate solutions that are inclusive, locally rooted, and responsive to the diverse needs of communities. By integrating gender-responsive approaches, we empower women and marginalized groups to lead transformative action at the grassroots level.
SF6 Transition Network
The SF₆ Transition Network is a global knowledge exchange platform on the management and phase-out of SF₆ , convening pioneers and interested stakeholders from government, industry, finance, international organizations, NGOs and academia to share experience, learn from each other, align approaches, and accelerate the transition away from SF₆ in the power sector.

RD&D Programmes
Exclusive to our Network members, our RD&D programmes provide a platform for knowledge exchange and the establishment of twinning institutional arrangements between Network members. With the support of our NDEs, we offer three modules that engage Network members in playing a central role in both North-South and South-South collaboration for climate technologies. China National Cleaner Production Center (CNCPC) was established in 1994, mainly focusing on Cleaner Production Strategy, namely, transformation to pollution prevention strategy. It conducted a series of activities in CP (Cleaner Production) area, serving for energy conservation and pollution reduction. It is committed to reduce pollution including the GHG emission and enhance resources efficiency in China in industry sector, agriculture sector and service sector.
Electricity Storage:
This technology database is created to provide means to gather data, provide information and show insight into electricity storage. Institutional and crowd-sourced data on technologies and products is featured, next to other information regarding energy storage. This information is meant to be available for (re)use in energy policy and scenario analysis. Please feel free to contribute data, information and insight to these pages.
The Institute of Earth Surface Dynamics was established on the 1st January 2014, comprising researchers from five of the former institutes of the Faculty of Geosciences and the Environment. This gives the Institute a unique opportunity to group Earth Scientists, Environmental Scientists and Physical Geographers together, in a single institute, supported by world class field equipment, laboratories and computational capacity.
The mission of the new Institute is to undertake research of the highest international quality relating to earth surface processes and dynamics, over a range of space and time scales, and including environmental change whether related to human activities or natural processes.
National Council for Climate Change Sustainable Development and Public Leadership (NCCSD) acts as an apex organization at the national level disseminating information and technology that will enable appropriate action and suggest policy frameworks to tackle impacts of global warming and climate change. NCCSD consolidates existing learning into a well-structured body of knowledge that can communicate suitable adaptation practices in order to strengthen locally relevant action for sustainable development.
Island Water Technologies (IWT) is a Prince Edward Island based company speacializing in modular, solar powered wastewater treatment solutions. IWT provides self-powered wastewater treatment for domestic and industrial industries.
CII- Sonrabji Godrej Green Business Centre (CII Godrej GBC) was established in 2004, as the Confederation of Indian Industry's developmental institute on green practices and businesses, aimed at offering world class advidory services on conservation of natural resources. The services of the Green Business Centre include energy management, green buildings, green companies, renewable energy, GHG inventories, green product certification, waste management and cleaner production processes.
The Advanced Energy Centre (AEC) is a public-private partnership with the mission of fostering the adoption of innovative energy technologies in Canada, and leveraging those successes and experiences into international markets. The Centre is a part of MaRS Discovery District, a Canadian registered charity that operates as on of the world's largest urban innovation hubs. The AEC identifies and removes systemic barriers to the adoption of energy innovation, working with stakeholders in the energy sector to help bring innovative technologies to global markets.
CEGESTI is a non-profit organization founded in 1990, with the mission of contributing to sustainable development in Latin America with special emphasis on three core topics: Environment and Development; Responsible Business and Impact on Social Responsibility. Since its beginnings, CEGESTI has collaborated with bilateral and multilateral cooperation agencies, local entities, enterprises and other society actors in formulating initiatives that facilitate an equitable and sustainable development.
IFDC, established in the USA in October 1974, is known for its expertise in soil fertility management, fertilizers and agriculture and agribusiness that service developing countries. In 1977 under the United States of America’s Presidential Executive Order No. 11977 of March 14, IFDC was declared as a public international organization (PIO).
Since 1974, IFDC has focused on increasing and sustaining food security and agricultural productivity in over 100 developing countries through the development and transfer of effective, environmentally sound and climate smarcrop nutrient technologies and agribusiness expertise. IFDC has been working with the Government of Bangladesh (GOB) since 1977 for the uplifting of the rural farmers and the country’s agricultural economy through adoption of climate smart technology such as fertilizer deep placement (FDP).
Black Soil is an innovative agtech company providing a service that combines starter irrigation and liquid fertilizing at the time of sowing. Its solutions have been tested at commercial scale in a variety of climate conditions for a broad range of crops. Blacksoil's services ensure stronger root and drought resilient plant development and hence support increased food safety and security as well as climate-resilient and ecosystem-efficient sowing. Blacksoil works with governments and private farmers directly.
