Green Climate Fund
The Green Climate Fund catalyzes investment in transformative climate technologies. As the operating entities of the Convention - CTCN under the Technology Mechanism and GCF under the Financial Mechanism - both established under the CMA and governed by the COP, we work together to support developing countries in accessing finance for low-emission, climate-resilient development pathways. We place strong emphasis on country-driven priorities and coordinated national ownership.
Global Environment Facility
As one of the oldest and largest multilateral environmental funds, the Global Environment Facility supports a broad range of environmental projects, often smaller in scale. In partnership with the UN Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), our collaborative projects enhance countries’ adaptive management capacities to address climate challenges effectively.
World Intellectual Property Organization - WIPO
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) promotes the use of intellectual property to support innovation and technology development, including in the field of climate change. In collaboration with the CTCN, WIPO helps build capacity and facilitate access to the WIPO GREEN database, supporting the transfer and deployment of climate technologies in developing countries.
Adaptation Fund
The Adaptation Fund finances concrete climate adaptation projects that help vulnerable communities in developing countries adapt to climate change. Initiatives are based on country needs, views and priorities. Our joint efforts support countries to test, scale up and leverage innovative, transformative, and locally led climate adaptation technologies across the technology cycle and anchor these into National Systems of Innovation.
Women Engage for a Common Future (WECF)
The Women Engage for a Common Future champions gender equality and women’s leadership in environmental and climate action. Through our collaboration, we advance gender-just climate solutions that are inclusive, locally rooted, and responsive to the diverse needs of communities. By integrating gender-responsive approaches, we empower women and marginalized groups to lead transformative action at the grassroots level.
SF6 Transition Network
The SF₆ Transition Network is a global knowledge exchange platform on the management and phase-out of SF₆ , convening pioneers and interested stakeholders from government, industry, finance, international organizations, NGOs and academia to share experience, learn from each other, align approaches, and accelerate the transition away from SF₆ in the power sector.

RD&D Programmes
Exclusive to our Network members, our RD&D programmes provide a platform for knowledge exchange and the establishment of twinning institutional arrangements between Network members. With the support of our NDEs, we offer three modules that engage Network members in playing a central role in both North-South and South-South collaboration for climate technologies. Kirkuk Technical College is a research and academic institution established in 1998, by the Government of Republic of Iraq with the mission to provide advanced technical education and create mechanisms for constant scientific, technical and moral evolutions of people so as to ensure continual development of the society. It conducts research studies and assessments on range of topics and develops knowledge products.
Quercus is an advisory type of an institution established in 2012 with the mission to positively improve and optimize living conditions for people and the working climate for public and private enterprise in the face of globalization. Center for Clean Air Policy (CCAP) is a not for profit, non governmental and research and academic organization established in 1985 with the mission to significantly advance cost-effective and pragmatic air quality and climate policy through analysis, dialogue and education to reach a broad range of policy-makers and stakeholders worldwide. CCAP helps policy-makers around the world develop, promote and implement innovative, market-based solutions to major climate, air quality and energy problems that balance both environmental and economic interests.
NewClimate Institute is a limited liability non-profit company (GmbH) established in 2014. NewClimate Institute supports research and implementation of action against climate change around the globe. NewClimate Institute generates and shares knowledge on international climate negotiations, tracking climate action, climate and development, climate finance and carbon market mechanisms. NewClimate Institute connects up-to-date research with the real world decision making processes, making it possible to increase ambition in acting against climate change and contribute to finding sustainable and equitable solutions.
- Climate Action Tracker provides regularly updated information on countries’ emission reduction policies. It reflects the latest status of the progress being made at international climate negotiations on mitigation commitments.
- The Climate Policy Database collects information on currently implemented policies related to climate change mitigation from countries worldwide. The objective of the portal is to provide an open, collaborative platform for quick information access, policy analysis and good-practice sharing.
Carbon Counts is a private sector organization established in 2008. It is an independent consultancy providing a range of advice in the field of climate change. It has a focus on international climate change policy, in particular technology development, deployment, financing and regulation.
Alterra is part of Stichting DLO. It is a private sector, research and academic not for profit institution. Alterra offers a combination of practical, innovative and interdisciplinary scientific research across many disciplines related to the green world around us and the sustainable use of our living environment. Aspects of our environment that Alterra focuses on include soil, water, the atmosphere, the landscape and biodiversity ‒ on a global scale as well as regionally.
Econoler is a private sector consulting firm established in 1981 with the mission to provide quality energy efficiency and renewable energy professional services while respecting sustainable development principles. Econoler is specialized in energy efficiency and has more than 30 years of experience in this specific field of expertise.
The International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) is a research and academic type of an institution established in 1975 with the mission to provide research-based policy solutions that sustainably reduce poverty and end hunger and malnutrition. It provides research-based policy solutions to sustainably reduce poverty and end hunger and malnutrition in developing countries. It is a research centre of the CGIAR Consortium, a worldwide partnership engaged in agricultural research for development.
