Please provide your short bio reflecting on your academic, professional and practical background

I am an architect specialized in climate change mitigation and adaptation, with experience supporting public and private sector organisations across Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). My work focuses on integrating climate technologies and passive design strategies into buildings and urban environments to enhance thermal comfort, reduce vulnerability, and strengthen resilience in the region.

I have conducted research on vernacular architecture in Latin America, assessing traditional and indigenous-informed passive design strategies and their relevance for climate adaptation and housing vulnerability in LAC, and have supported companies in preparing climate-related disclosures under IFRS S2. I have also collaborated on the development of adaptation and mitigation guidelines for critical infrastructure, incorporating gender and inclusion criteria across planning and implementation processes.

I have experience in energy efficiency in buildings, climate-resilient infrastructure and urban planning. I am particularly committed to approaches that address community needs, disaster risk reduction, ecosystems and gender-responsive climate action.
