    Hildah Nakatunga is a chemical engineer, social entrepreneur and co-founder of Greenfire Innovation Limited, a company dedicated to producing eco-friendly biomass briquettes from industrial and agricultural waste. With a strong passion for sustainability, she focuses on combating deforestation and reducing energy poverty in Africa by providing affordable and renewable energy solutions.

    Hildah holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and has gained hands on experience in various industries, including copper production at Kansanshi Mine, sugar manufacturing at Zambia Sugar and metal production at Kafue Steel. Her expertise spans renewable energy, waste management and sustainable manufacturing processes.

    As an entrepreneur, Hildah has successfully led multiple businesses, including a beauty salon, a micro-lending company and a clothing business, showcasing her versatility and leadership in different industries. She has participated in prestigious programs such as the Timbuktoo Bootcamp, the Business Amplify Program under the US Embassy Zambia and the Center Building Program by Avencion.

    Hildah is actively involved in grant applications and investment opportunities to scale Greenfire Innovation Limited. She is also exploring the integration of AI in her business operations to optimize production, supply chain management and sustainability tracking. Her work has been recognized through awards such as the Tony Elumelu Foundation seed capital grant.Driven by innovation and impact, Hildah continues to seek collaborations and funding to advance clean energy solutions in Africa, empowering communities and fostering climate resilience.
