Ahmed Owda is a Palestinian medical doctor and refugee advocate whose work bridges clinical medicine, multilateral diplomacy, and global health policy. His professional trajectory has been shaped by lived experience within displacement contexts and by direct engagement in international governance spaces.

Ahmed served as an Advisor to the President of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), contributing to policy discussions on inclusive development, youth participation, and health equity within the UN system. In this role, he supported strategic dialogue among Member States and stakeholders, advocating for the meaningful inclusion of refugee and marginalized communities in global decision-making processes.

He also serves as a Mentor at the Swedish Dialogue Institute, contributing to cross-cultural dialogue, leadership development, and policy exchange initiatives under frameworks linked to the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Through this role, he supports emerging leaders in navigating diplomacy, governance, and rights-based advocacy.

In addition, Ahmed has contributed as an expert on Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) in engagements connected to UNFPA, examining the intersection between population dynamics, climate commitments, and health system resilience.

Grounded in frontline clinical experience, Ahmed’s mission is to bridge health realities in displacement contexts with multilateral policy reform, advancing equitable, accountable, and resilient systems globally.
