Gender and GBV specialist with more than ten years of experience in humanitarian response and gender mainstreaming across Türkiye, Syria, Ukraine, Moldova, Lebanon and Bangladesh, and a Master's degree holder in Social Studies of Gender. Through this work, I have witnessed firsthand how climate shocks-  droughts, floods, displacement, and food insecurity- reshape gender roles, increase women's unpaid care burdens, and heighten risks of gender-based violence.

Aftab Tabasum is a Technical Service Officer at Fatima Fertilizer, Pakistan, with an MSc (Hons) in Soil and Environmental Sciences from PMAS Arid Agriculture University, where she graduated with a Gold Medal. Her research focused on the use of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) to mitigate soil salinity stress, improve soil health, and enhance sustainable crop production.

I bring 4 years of experience across urban research, GIS development, computational design, landscape, and large-scale architecture, supported by a Master in City and Technology from IAAC, Barcelona.

Golnaz Arab is an environmental engineering and solid waste management professional with more than 15 years of experience supporting governments, international organizations, and private-sector clients in the design and implementation of sustainable waste management, circular economy, and resource efficiency solutions. She holds a Ph.D. in Solid Waste Management from the University of Alberta, Canada, and is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and TRUE Advisor.

Jayashree Chandrappa is a climate tech startup founder and an urban researcher working at the intersection of cities, architecture, geospatial modelling, and urban technology. Her work focuses on integrating climate data with socio-economic and socio-cultural systems to rethink how cities evolve toward more equitable, circular, and resilient futures.

My research focuses on climate change impacts and mitigation/adaptation strategies, using modeling, optimization, and decision-support tools to support energy, ecological, digital, and societal transitions at global and regional scales.

I graduated as an energy engineer after an exchange program at EEIGM, ENSEM, and FST (University of Lorraine, Nancy). I also hold a graduate degree from École Polytechnique, where I studied the performance of grid-connected photovoltaic systems at CentraleSupélec–Université Paris-Saclay (GeePs and L2S labs).

I am currently serving as a Research Scientist at Centre of Geoinformatics at Assam Don Bosco University, Assam, India. I am also serving as a Visiting Faculty at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India, where I teach “Geoinformatics for Environmental Science” to B.Tech and M.Tech students. In November 2025, I visited the Department of Environmental Science at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia as a Visiting Scientist.
