The project to rehabilitate wells in Liwa, in the Lake region, is promoting the use of solar pumps combined with innovative payment systems using mobile payments to facilitate access to water. Activities include stakeholder mapping, diagnosis of current water use, assessment of community needs, and the design of a solar pumping system adapted to these innovative payment methods. A six-month pilot phase will build local capacity and support the adoption of the technology and financial innovation. Finally, an evaluation of the lessons learned will be carried out, with recommendations made at a closing workshop.
