CTCN - WIPO Collaboration

The collaboration between the CTCN and WIPO aims to raise awareness and visibility of the WIPO GREEN database among stakeholders while encouraging climate technology experts to contribute to its content and dissemination. This effort connects providers and seekers of green technologies, promoting their dissemination and adoption.

WIPO GREEN is an online platform for technology exchange that connects providers and seekers of green technologies. The database features approximately 130,000 green technologies, contributed by companies, researchers and diverse stakeholders including CTCN stakeholders.

WIPO GREEN is unique because it assembles in one place technologies at all stages of development, from prototypes to marketable products. These technologies are available for license, collaboration, joint ventures, and sale. By including eco-friendly technologies as well as technology “needs” in its database, WIPO GREEN is a go-to platform for green technology innovation.

By collaborating with WIPO GREEN, the CTCN aims to support and inspire project developers, National Designated Entities (the designated focal points for climate technology in over 160 countries), CTCN Network members, technology providers, and potential technology users who are:

  • Seeking technology solutions to inspire or guide the design and development of their technical assistance requests for addressing specific climate challenges;

  • Seeking to identify companies and institutions that offer climate technology solutions;

  • Looking for potential partners to collaborate on implementing climate technology solutions and interested in showcasing their climate technology solutions to a broad, global audience.
