Presenter:

Mr. Pierre Baillargeon is a senior energy efficiency expert with 35 years of experience gathered in projects conducted in North America, and in over 50 countries throughout the world. He has worked on assignments to support governments in establishing their national energy efficiency policies, strategies, support programs and various regulations to enforce the mandatory implementation of energy efficiency measures (building codes, standards and labelling, energy management, mandatory data disclosure, national energy efficiency fund, etc.). He has also worked closely with energy efficiency agencies, utilities and EE program managers to design, implement, and evaluate the results of a large number of EE programs targeting the industrial, commercial, institutional, residential and transportation sectors. His expertise also includes the implementation of energy efficiency projects through market mechanisms, including the energy performance contracting (EPC) model associated with Energy Services Companies (ESCOs), in addition to energy efficiency and carbon trading schemes.

Mr. Baillargeon is a frequent trainer on many EE topics, including Energy Performance Contracting, the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) program from the Association of Energy Engineers and a level IV (train-the-trainer) trainer for the CMVP certification offered by the Efficiency Valuation Organization (EVO).
