The Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) organized a Regional forum for the National Designated Entities (NDEs) for the Caribbean in Jamaica, 24-25 August.
The forum was an opportunity to present the latest development of CTCN services to countries in the region; share experiences and best practices from CTCN technical assistance in the region; strengthen linkages between the UNFCCC Technology Mechanism and the Financial Mechanism and enhance collaboration between the National Designated Entities and National Designated Authorities to articulate concrete proposals to facilitate access to climate technologies, increase south-south learning, and create networking opportunities.
The first CTCN forum for the Caribbean was organized in Barbados in 2015 and since then all countries have made significant advances in the definition of clear and measurable objectives on adaptation and mitigation through their National Determined Contributions (NDCs).
