The CTCN is seeking experts to participate in the upcoming solicitation to provide technical assistance on:

Strengthening Climate-Resilient Water Storage Systems for Agriculture in Cambodia through Feasibility Assessment and Investment Readiness of Improved Rainwater Harvesting Solutions

Deadline: 20 JULY 2026

Cambodia is increasingly affected by droughts, erratic rainfall, and rising temperatures, threatening water security and agricultural livelihoods. Existing rural water storage systems are often inefficient due to seepage, evaporation, sedimentation, and poor water quality, highlighting the need for improved rainwater harvesting solutions.

The technical assistance will assess suitable rainwater harvesting technologies for Cambodia, evaluating their technical, economic, and environmental feasibility. It will also identify priority investment opportunities and strengthen the evidence base for planning and climate finance. Some of the expected outputs include:

  • Assessment of existing rural water storage systems and technology options;
  • Feasibility analysis and recommendations for improved rainwater harvesting systems;
  • Capacity building and stakeholder consultations; and
  • An investment roadmap to support scaling up climate-resilient water storage.
