​After the successful workshops of Rome and Vienna, D'Appolonia and European Commission – DG CLIMA are pleased to announce the Third Regional Workshop to support the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) dedicated to introducing you to Climate Technologies transfer mechanism.

Why taking part in the Workshop?

The workshop targets stakeholders involved in the development of technologies tackling climate change: SMEs and industrial representatives, technology providers, researchers, manufacturers, consultants and associations. The workshop in Copenhagen is the third of a series of events organized in different locations across Europe and it will be an opportunity for meeting among stakeholders from Nothern Europe. Presentations and materials discussed during previous workshop in Rome and Vienna are available.

The Copenhagen Workshop to support CTCN will allow participants to actively contribute to sharing of success stories, learning the process of CTCN matchmaking of demand and offer of climate technologies for specific objectives. Experiences collected during the workshop will enable the creation of recommendations and validation of the current approach of CTCN to further enhance the key role of technology transfer into the international climate change community.

Participants will be able to access:

  1. Commercial opportunities: Pre-qualified access to competitive bidding for delivery of CTCN technical assistance services to developing countries;
  2. Connection: Network with national decision makers, thought leaders, and other Network members to expand your partnership opportunities and learn about emerging activities and areas of practice;
  3. Visibility: Increase your global recognition and showcase your organization's experience and success stories. Broaden your organization or company's global reach by engaging in new technology projects and showcasing relevant experience, events, reports and tools.

How is the Mechanism for the Transfer of Green Technologies?

The CTCN provides with technical and economic support for enabling the transfer of green technologies for climate change mitigation and adaptation in developing countries. CTCN offers three core services:

  1. Provide technical assistance to developing countries to enhance transfer of climate technologies
  2. Provide and share information and knowledge on climate technologies through the development of a dedicated web portal
  3. Foster collaboration and networking of various stakeholders on climate technologies including linking climate technology projects with financing opportunity.
