📍 Conference Room 4, United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON)

Hosted by the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) on the margins of UNEP’s 13th Annual CPR Subcommittee Meeting, this side event will bring together member states and partners for a focused dialogue on accelerating climate technology development, deployment and transfer in developing countries.

The session will showcase CTCN’s work and explore how the Belém Technology Implementation Programme (TIP) can help translate climate technology priorities into action at the national level. Discussions will highlight the links between CTCN technical assistance and countries’ climate commitments and plans, including Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), Technology Needs Assessments (TNAs), and Technology Action Plans (TAPs).

The event will also consider opportunities to strengthen collaboration across the Technology Mechanism, governments, climate finance institutions, multilateral development banks, the private sector and other partners to help countries move from identified technology needs toward scaled implementation and impact.
