A Networking Event for Korean members on co-creating climate solutions will be hosted by the UN Climate Technology Centre & Network (CTCN) and the Green Technology Center (GTC), following the official launch of the CTCN Partnership and Liaison Office on 21 July, with the overall objective of encouraging Network members to showcase, adapt and improve their technology solutions for a targeted market by connecting them with the right partners and resources. The event will provide key insights and support to Network members seeking advice on implementing CTCN technical assistance, connecting with other Network members in similar fields to learn about successful technology transfer,
and showcasing and receiving feedback about their own innovative climate solutions.
The event will be held 22 July 2022, 14:00-17:00 (GMT +9), Hybrid (virtual and in-person).
The first session will explore challenges and lessons learned about scale-up following the completion
of Korean pro bono technical assistance cases, underscoring insights gained from hands-on
experiences in delivering technical assistance in Tanzania, Laos, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. Session two
will focus on co-creation and the matching of ‘future champions’ with thematic experts who will
identify more targeted technical feedback on solutions in two different sectors – agriculture/food
systems and innovative technologies. As a result of the event, we hope Network members will gain
valuable insight into implementing CTCN technical assistance and identify feasible strategies to scale
up their solutions while planning CTCN technical assistance implementation. They will depart
equipped with ideas on how to improve their technology solutions while having benefited from an
opportunity to gain visibility and expand their own networks by forging connections with Climate
Technology Network members, funders, and technical experts.
