Climate change multiplies risks in fragile contexts, threatening peace and security. Responding to the Global “Mutirão” and inspired by the Nordic Vision of cooperation, this high-level event highlights how multilateral action delivers scalable, locally-led solutions for peace, resilience, and security. As we push towards accelerating the implementation of concrete climate action on the ground, the event will offer a platform for high-level representatives and practitioners to reflect on their experience, lessons learned and good practice. It also will encourage the use of conflict sensitive, community-based technological solutions and locally led approaches as essential tools for advancing effective, inclusive, and sustainable climate action.

In parallel with the event, the UN CTCN will publish an Impact Report to highlight the lessons learned, good practice and challenges faced during the implementation of the EU Climate Change and Security programme, which will be presented at this event.
