Circular economy (CE) seeks to replace the current linear economic model with a circular model, regenerative in nature, to enable the harnessing and efficient use (and reuse) of resources. A circular system allows the decoupling of economic growth from the utilisation of natural resources, promoting the creation of new businesses as well as a change in the existing production processes, with an economic potential of up to US $4.5 trillion, and generating up to 6 million new jobs by 2030 worldwide.

This workshop organised within the PCCB hub space and hosted by the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) will provide highlights on CE initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region and will deepen the potential of CE as a medium to tackle climate change.
