Networking & Collaboration

Technologies are vital to building climate-resilient, low-carbon societies. Many essential technologies already exist — the challenge is to get them deployed where they are needed, and to build the enabling environments to support technology innovation, adaptation and scale-up. An overwhelming number of developing countries’ Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement indicate a requirement for technology support and capacity building in order to achieve their commitments. To meet this need, the CTCN serves as a demand-driven and trusted partner, matching the needs of developing countries for climate change-related equipment, methods, capacity development, and policy advice with the world-class expertise of its Network and our collaborators.

Shushilan

Shushilan, a national non-Government development organisation established in 1991, has been working all over Bangladesh. As part of our mission to build a Congenial Society for Economic and Socio-Cultural Development, we are moving forward to tackle poverty and vulnerability in the country and support changing the lives of the most disadvantaged for good, help people to claim their rights to economic opportunities and empower women to participate in family and social development.

Creating opportunities for the people is our missionary zeal, and our multi-dimensional involvement is in Socio-economic development of the underprivileged poor, Sustainable Environmental Resources Management, Education & ICT, Health & Nutrition, Human Rights and Good Governance and Sustainable Peoples Organisation, including Gender, through which we have extended our support to 9.5 million people.

Considering the COVID-19 situation, Cyclone Amphan & other disasters, the Rohingya refugee crisis, and community needs, Shushilan has undertaken several steps to reach the participants with full potential.

Through our interventions along with the Government of Bangladesh (GOB), we are addressing almost all the 17 SDGs.

A group of multi-experts like livelihood, disaster, climate change, education, health, nutrition, agriculture, engineering, gender, facilitator, admin, finance, audit, human resource, modern technologist, researchers, advocate, entrepreneur, and vocational trainer, are working with Shushilan and our team, who are playing a vital role in achieving the qualitative and quantitate result.

We have a strategic framework, our five-year strategic plan, policy and guidelines guide our decision making and support in managing standard performance, and our cultural values lead us to work in a safe, healthy workplace and friendly environment. The work together model is our platform for success. The entire activities of Shushilan are truly a partnership and without the support of the government, local government, donor, community, private sector, civil society and other stakeholders, it is not possible to reach the broader community with essential support.

Our quality work puts Shushilan in a unique position to help people and to work with people. This is why we created acceptance in the country. We hope our work will inspire all to become engaged with us.
