In India, PwC is the oldest and largest professional services firm, with a presence of over 130 years.  The Government Reforms and Infrastructure Development (GRID) is the strategic business unit (SBU) of PwC India which advices Governments and Private sector clients on issues like policy, regulation, reforms & restructuring in the energy sector as well as on SEZs, energy efficiency in municipalities, utilities, industries Urban planning and other infrastructure & development areas.

GRID has an extensive electricity sector advisory practice and has advised several states in India and also international electricity authorities in reforms and restructuring. The experience spans all aspects - sector development, institutional strengthening, public private partnerships, development of competitive power markets, reform policy, industry reorganization, regulation, corporatization and commercialization, and commercial efficiency improvement.

GRID has a large pool of dedicated resources for energy sector consulting assignments with over 1400 man-years of reforms implementation & privatization experience. We are currently executing energy sector consulting jobs of over 150 man-years in India & various other countries. Pwc also have 8 BEE certified energy auditors, 5 BEE accredited energy auditors and 4 Certified Measurement and Verification Professionals having rich experience in project evaluations, monitoring and verification as well as energy audits.

PwC has been actively involved in the area of energy efficiency, energy auditing (Street Lighting, Industries, Building and Commercial Establishments), and demand side management, EE policy, regulatory and standard & labelling.
