I am a climate change and environment researcher with over 12 years of experience in sustainable land, water, and agricultural resource management in dryland and arid ecosystems. I hold a B.Sc. in Water Resources and Environmental Management and an M.Sc. in Climate Change and Environment Technology from the University of Jordan, where my thesis applied remote sensing to assess climate change impacts on the Water–Energy–Food nexus.
Professionally, I serve at the Climate Change and Environment Directorate (Climate Change and Drought Department) in Jordan, contributing to national climate studies, drought monitoring, and policy development. I am a member of the NDCs project team, the Drought Community of Practice, and contributed to the Climate Change Atlas of Jordan. Currently, I am leading a national project on sustainable water resources management under climate change threats.
Practically, I have implemented and supported multiple national and regional projects, including rainwater harvesting optimization in Jordan’s Badia, water allocation in the Jordan Valley, and climate-smart agriculture initiatives. My expertise includes remote sensing, GIS, UAV applications, hydrological modeling, and capacity building, and I have designed and delivered 20+ training programs that have reached more than 500 professionals and stakeholders.
