I am Sonia Tesfaye, a dedicated social justice advocate with a fervent passion for addressing issues related to gender mainstreaming, women's rights, intersectionality, African feminism, decolonial perspectives, ecofeminism, and various multi-sectoral concerns that drive policy advocacy and action.
Leveraging my extensive background in social research, particularly in qualitative methods, and experience in monitoring and evaluation, I have significantly contributed to the field of decolonizing economics. I published a research paper under the theme "Decolonizing Economics: African and Feminist Perspectives on Post-Growth Futures," as part of an initiative organized by the Post Growth Institute. Additionally, my involvement in humanitarian assistance schemes has enabled me to apply these perspectives to real-world situations.
Moreover, I have played a crucial role in amplifying indigenous research inputs by embracing diverse philosophical shifts. This involvement has been instrumental in voicing underrepresented perspectives and fostering inclusivity in the discourse surrounding social justice and policy advocacy.
