I hold a Double Bachelor of Science Degree in Women and Gender Studies/Law. I also hold a Master’s degree in Peace, Conflict and Security. I am also a certified Project Management Professional PMP®. I have ten years of progressive experience in Gender and human rights, with specialized expertise in Gender-based Violence/PSEA Coordination, Gender-based Violence in Emergencies prevention and response programming, deployment of GBV information management systems (GBVIMS, GBVIMS+ PRIMERO, GMIS) and Protection and rule of law programming in emmergencies. I have excellent experience in Coordination especially providing technical support to governments and national machineries to take lead on the coordination of GBV. I also have excellent experience supporting national GBV coordination mechanisms like the GBV AoR, GBV working groups, information management working groups, Gender/GBV/GBVIMS steering committees and taskforces and excellent collaboration with other sectors and clusters. I also have excellent experience on managing Gender-based Violence Programmes, Protection and Child Protection Programmes. I am also profiled in the UNFPA Surge Roster on GBV and CANADEM’s Roster for Gender Experts.
I currently work as an International Specialist for the deployment of the Gender-Based Violence Information Management System in Madagascar P3 with the UNFPA. I previously served as a GBV Information Management Specialist P4 with the UNFPA Burkina Faso, where I also took up an additional role of a Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Focal Point for the country Office. I have also worked as Gender and GBV Specialist with UNFPA Gambia and GBV Information Systems Centre Manager with the UNFPA Gambia. Before Joining the UNFPA, I worked with the International Rescue Committee Cameroon in various capacities as a Protection Programme Manager ad Interim, Protection and Rule of Law Officer and Protection and Rule of law Assistant, from 2019 to 2022. Prior to joining the international Rescue Committee, I served as a Child Protection Officer (Volunteer) with the Reach out NGO in Cameroon.
As globally Certified Project Management Professional PMP® (Global Project Management Credential), I have excellent experience in the management of hybrid and agile projects, excellent leadership and communication skills, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and driving strategies to impact. I have excellent experience in the supervision of remote and colocation teams and well-grounded in servant leadership and the development of agile teams. In addition, I have excellent experience in conducting multisectoral needs assessments, humanitarian needs assessments, safety audits and rapid gender assessments, strengthening information management systems, generating robust data on gender, to support policies and decisions. I also bring to the table, relevant expertise in stakeholder engagement and partnerships with UN Agencies, multinational cooperations, Governments, NGOs and communities.
