There is no better window-opportunity for CTCN to strategically support the Academy, the Public and Private sectors and Civil Society Organizations in developing economies and accelerate the energy transitions pathways while effectively meeting Agenda 2030, Paris Agreement and New Urban Agenda goals. In the short term, it is fairly evident that the enabling conditions that renewables-dependent systems offer to accelerate sustainable development are way more reliable over fossil-fuel based systems with high volatility. In the long term, renewables still play the pivotal role to significantly reduce the carbon emissions and the impacts of global warming of 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels.

I have more than 15 years of experience in promoting country-wide renewable energy programs and projects for sustainable development: From the formulation and management of national renewable energies programs and projects (through multidisciplinary teams) to the structuring of financing operations with Multilateral Banks and Cooperation Agencies. I have hold job positions in the public sector as Renewable Energy Director, University Professor in an Energy and Sustainability Master Degree, Independent Consultant as Sustainable Energy expert for the United Nations (UN) and the European Union (EU), SDG7 Expert in the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) from the UN. I was appointed Senior Fellow in Sustainable Energy and Finance for Latin America at SD Strategies, a German Consulting  Company. Recently, I was selected to be part of the Solution Pathways for Transformation of Energy Systems Expert Team to review the energy chapter of the Seventh Global Environment Outlook (GEO-7).

I hold a degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance from Ave María University (USA), a Master in Science within the Doctorate program of the University of Salamanca (Spain): Law, Economy and Society in the European Union, an Energy Sustainability Management diploma by the Latin American Center for Competitiveness and Sustainable Development CLACDS of INCAE BUSINESS SCHOOL, Energy Transformation Expert by RENAC Academy, and finally, I have different certifications in renewable energies by different internationally recognized organizations such as: IRENA, NEDO, OLADE, among others.
