    Academic Background

    I am an Environmental Science graduate from the University of Dodoma, Tanzania. 

    Professional Background 

    In Nov 2024 I volunteered (online)for the United Nations Volunteers where I served as research Support.

    • Reviewed national context concerning sustainable use of wild species and invasive alien species 

    • Identified and documented ongoing or completed projects related to Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES).

    I have also served as an Environmental Science Intern while working with the National Land Use Planning Commission (NLUPC) 2023-2024 and National Environment Management Council (NEMC) in 2021. While working with these organisations I have acquired knowledge on

    • Land use planning especially in rural areas, where I had the opportunity to prepare village land use plans for 4 different villages.

    • Conducting land surveys for provision of Certificate of Customary Right of Occupancy. 

    • Together with that while working with NEMC I have learnt on how to conduct site visits, prepare Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Audits.

    In 2020 I volunteered for Tanzania Forest Services Agency which over sees on all Forest related activities like

    • Taxing forest harvests like wood, timber and honey and 

    • Providing permits to people to harvest, transport as well sell these goods.

    • Monitoring the forest reserves in its region of operations.

    Practical Background 

    I have published a journal on titled " Socio-economic Feasibility for Implementation of Environmental Legislation along the Riparian Buffer Zones in Urban Rivers of Northern Tanzania.
