Dr. Ioannis Sebos (Chemical Engineer, MBA, PhD) brings over 25 years of professional experience, including 16 years dedicated to Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation policies and action plans. His expertise encompasses Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) processes related to Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventories and other air pollutants. He serves as the scientific coordinator of Greece's Greenhouse Gas Inventory System and is an active member of the working group overseeing the implementation of the National Climate and Energy Plan (NECP). Dr. Sebos is a Lead Reviewer for both the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the European Environment Agency/European Commission (EEA/EC). Since 2022, he has been a member of the Editorial Board for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Emission Factor Database. Academically, he is a Teaching and Research Associate at the National Technical University of Athens and an adjunct professor at both the University of West Attica and the Hellenic Open University. Beyond academia, Dr. Sebos has contributed to numerous technical projects, addressing climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies, renewable energy development, industrial risk assessment, and more. He also brings valuable industrial experience, having worked as a production and process engineer in cement plants, refineries, and logistics. In addition, Dr. Sebos has played a key role in capacity-building projects across the globe, including initiatives in Zimbabwe, Mongolia, Fiji, Tajikistan, Peru, Guyana, Georgia, Montenegro, Oman, Iraq, and other countries.
