Please provide your short bio reflecting on your academic, professional and practical background

I am a C.S.I.R Doctorate in the subject area of Earth and Environment Management, India. I have qualified the National Educational Test (N.E.T. U.G.C) New Delhi. I have fifteen years of  teaching experience at UG / PG levels and Engineering stream, contributing to the subject of Energy & Environment Management, Climate Change Impact, Disaster Risk Resilience and Disaster Mitigation and Management.

I worked as a C.S.I.R Research Associate, National Remote Sensing Center (ISRO / DOS / GOI) with research experience in Application of Remote sensing techniques in Natural Resources  Management and worked on Projects of Digital Monitoring of Mangroves / Shifting Cultivation / Land Use and Land Cover Changes and Forest Cover and Deforestation. I have to my credit publications in National and International Journals of repute and even attended various conferences for paper presentation.

I have pursued and completed Various Courses on Climate Change Impact organized by UNEP / UNESCO / UNITAR and was certified with Digital Badges for the same. I even deliver Guest Lectures on current scenario of the Environment to highlight the concerns and solutions, as well as to create an awareness in the community at large. I have actively participated in the  Photo contest of International Year of Millets - 2023 organized by FAO and won an award for the UNCTAD Photo contest 2021, also participated in the UNCTAD Course on Trade, Gender and Women Empowerment, 2020 and Urban Smart Cities- 2023.

I am currently associated with Indira Gandhi National Open University and Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education dealing with Academic aspects of  Environmental and Social related Activities – Capacity Building / Curriculum Design / Rural Social Work / Rural Management / Rural Entrepreneurship / Skill Development / Rural Livelihoods / Rural Waste Management / Rural Ecology and Environment Management / Rural Natural Resources Management/ Climate change and Crop Farming Practices / Agriculture and Socio-Economic aspects of the community at large.

I am interested in pursuing and guiding Research Studies in the area of: Biodiversity Loss and Conservation Science, Ecology & Environment Studies, Ecosystem & Forestry, Land Use / Land Cover Changes, Natural Resources Accounting and Management, Climate Change Studies Impact / Resilience / Policy, Disaster Risk Mitigation & Management, Earth and Evolution Studies,  Vegetation and Soil Moisture and Plant Science, Urban Shift and Transformation towards Green Cities, Smart Sustainable Urban Cities, Clean Sustainable Energy and Green Transportation, Water Resources and Pollution Studies , Climate Change impact and Crop Science, Agriculture and Agro-meteorology, Community & Social Sciences Environment, Clean and Green Technologies Solid Waste Management, Net Zero Emissions / SDGs / Climate Action / Climate Policy / Climate Justice.

Our world faces many interconnected challenges including climate disruption, biodiversity loss, increasing poverty, inequalities, and conflicts between and within countries.The Way Forward therefore is Respect and Care for Life and Environment, Ecological Integrity, Social and Economic Justice, Nonviolence, Sustainable Lifestyles for Prosperity and Peace for People on Planet Earth.
