     Dr Lady Eberechi Cecilia Osuagwu is a distinguished University lecturer with over a decade of experience in teaching, research, and community service. Her academic prowess spans multiple disciplines, with a Bachelor's degree in Forestry and Environmental Management from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture (MOUAU), a Master's degree in Environmental Management from Bayero University Kano (BUK), and two PhDs - one in Environmental Management from MOUAU and another in Bioenvironmental Science from Morgan State University, USA.

    A passionate advocate for environmental sustainability and community development, Dr Eberechi has been an active Road Safety Marshal since 2016. She is the founder of the Youth Climate Action Network - Nigeria, a vibrant initiative that promotes the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 13, and 17 across six universities. Dr Eberechi's professional affiliations include membership in the Organization of Women in Science for Developing Countries (OWSD), the British Ecological Society, the American Water Works Association, Global Citizen, the Nigerian Environmental Society (PRO-Abia chapter), International Female Academic Doctors (Exco member), the Wildhub Community, serves as a conservation advocate. She has also served as a University delegate at the African Universities Summit, 2025.

    As a dedicated mentor, Dr. Eberechi guides students and young professionals through her roles in OWSD, the MOUAU chapter, and the British Ecological Society. Her expertise extends to regenerative agriculture, as evidenced by her position as a board member of CANOPS (Kenya), focusing on African Semi-Arid Lands and the coordinator of the bio-organic innovation project (MOUAU). Dr. Eberechi has authored numerous published articles and presented her research at national and international conferences. Her accomplishments have been recognized with several awards, including: Fellow, Institute of Policy Management Development, Best Poster Presenter, Water Conference by UAEA Dubai, PhD scholarship, Tetfund (2021), Worthy Mother, by St. Joseph Catholic Church Umualumaku Ehime Mbano, Imo State and several others, from Churches and local Communities.

    Dr Eberechi's media presence includes features in the British Ecological Society UK's CBER Lunchbox Podcast, WildTeam UK's Wildhub Community catalysts series, One Day in 2050 news, and Trans-Africa Bill of Right to Convocation (planner/panelist MSU-USA) including speaker in several academic webinars.

    In addition to her academic and professional pursuits, Dr. Eberechi has obtained certifications in: Stakeholder Engagement, Project Planning, Evaluation and Monitoring, Project Management in Wildlife Conservation (WildTeam UK), Mentoring (NSF-USA), Voices for Change - Identities and Inclusion, Alcohol and other drugs, Hazing and Bullying, Consent and Sexual Violence Prevention (Get Inclusive program MSU-USA), Biomedical Conduct of Research (CITI program USA).

    Dr. Eberechi welcomes collaborations and partnerships in environmental education programs, research on Natural Resources Management, Pollution, Waste Management Climate change, and girl/youth/women empowerment projects.
