Clarice Princess Mudzengi

Dr Clarice Princess Mudzengi is an ecologist who has worked as an Innovation Hub Manager at Great Zimbabwe University, responsible for facilitating activities that create, recognize, elaborate, and articulate research and innovation activities to result in prototypes. Prior to this she was a lecturer of natural resource management and agriculture in the Gary Magadzire School of Agriculture and Engineering. She also worked in the Department of Research and Specialist Services (DR&SS) for 12 years, where she conducted various community driven research work to improve agricultural production for sustainable rural livelihoods. Clarice is a curiosity driven researcher who is problem focused and solutions oriented. Her research interests are multi-disciplinary, with the main objective of achieving resilience, particularly in the face of climate change. She has co-researched with various communities and worked in collaboration with organizations such as Food and Agriculture Organization, ILRI and SAT. Currently, she is a community implementation committee member of the FAO / UN – Green jobs for rural youth employment project in Chihota, Zimbabwe. At Great Zimbabwe University, Clarice has held other posts such as Research Chair Gary Magadzire School of Agriculture and Engineering, Vice Chair Research Board, Innovation Lead Life Sciences and Acting Director Research and Innovation. Clarice has also supervised various MSc and MPhil students, and published numerous research articles and book chapters. Recently, she moved to Alice Springs, NT, Australia.
