    Please provide your short bio reflecting on your academic, professional and practical background

    Anne Barre coordinates Gender and Climate Programmes at WECF - Women Engage for a Common Future, an ecofeminist network NGO, which advocates at local and global levels for women's rights and gender justice in all climate and sustainable development policies. Anne Barre has been involved with WECF for 22 years, contributing to the successful implementation of numerous field projects in the areas of access to water, sustainable agriculture and energy, climate policy, environmental health. In 2008, she founded the French office of WECF, which she chaired for 8 years. Since COP21, she has led and developed the Gender Just Climate Solutions Programme, promoting and scaling up exemplary initiatives that fully integrate gender justice into national and global climate policies. In 2022 and 2023 she was represented the UNFCCC Women & Gender Constituency in the Advisory Board of the Climate Technology Centre & Network. Today, she is also involved as board member in other CSOs like Climate Chance and Empow’Her.
