As the implementation arm of the Technology Mechanism, the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), in its current Programme of Work, has introduced the five system transformations – Water-Food-Energy Nexus, Building and Infrastructure, Sustainable Mobility, Energy Systems, and Business and Industry – and two enablers – National Systems of Innovation and Digitalization.

Through being the Centre of Excellence on Collaborative research, development, and demonstration (RD&D), the CTCN seeks to strengthen partnerships with various organizations towards solving climate change issues. This includes the promotion of North-South and South-South cooperation on RD&D and climate technology.

To share the ongoing collaborative RD&D activities and funding programmes and facilitate the exchange of knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices, the CTCN is launching a series of webinars covering different areas of work in different regions:

  • 24 July, 2023 – WEF Nexus (Asia and the Pacific and Africa);

The first webinar focuses on the core of climate resilience and sustainable development – the Water, Energy, and Food Nexus. Experts from Asia and the Pacific and African regions will introduce the concept of Nexus and share their expertise and best practices. In addition, participants will learn how to identify nexus challenges and find appropriate nexus solutions to achieve sustainability, resilience, and water security.
