The Climate Action Roadmaps for Buildings and Construction side event, organized by GlobalABC and the Cooling Coalition in partnership with CTCN, UN-Habitat, and UNOPS, addresses the critical need for decarbonizing the buildings and construction sector, responsible for 37% of global CO₂ emissions.

Focused on pathways to a low-carbon and resilient built environment, this session will feature GlobalABC’s new step-by-step Climate Action Roadmap Toolkit and showcase ambitious national strategies, such as Canada’s Green Buildings Strategy. The programme highlights key sector-specific approaches, including solutions for high-emission areas like cement production, paving the way for zero-emission, efficient, and resilient buildings worldwide.

The concept note and agenda for this event will be published shortly.
