The 2023 Asia and the Pacific Climate Week (APCW) is set to take place from November 13th to 17th, 2023, in Johor, Malaysia. 

APCW 2023 serves as a vital platform for policymakers, practitioners, businesses, and civil society to come together and engage in discussions about climate solutions, identifying challenges, and seizing opportunities. This event will run concurrently with:

 

 

The CTCN Asia and the Pacific National Designated Entity (NDE) Forum 2023

System Transformation through Climate Technology Transfer, 13-16 November 2023

CTCN organizes Regional Forums for the National Designated Entities (NDEs) on an annual basis, gathering together NDEs, selected Advisory Board (AB) and Technology Executive Committee (TEC) Members, network members, and other stakeholders. This year, CTCN has structured its regional Forums according to the five system transformation areas of the CTCN 3rd Programme of Work:

  • Water-Food-Energy Nexus
  • Building and Infrastructure
  • Sustainable Mobility
  • Energy Systems
  • Business and Industry

 

and two enablers for system transformation:

  • National Systems of Innovation
  • Digitalization

 

The Asia and Pacific NDE Forum's programme includes:

  • Update on CTCN 2023 activities, and plans for 2024, and exhibit the latest development of CTCN services to developing countries in the region.
  • Update on the TEC implementation plan for 2023-2024, its activities and deliverables and opportunities for engagement.
  • Discussion on previous/potential technical assistant project ideas of each system transformation area of the PoW for Asia and the Pacific region.
  • Reflection on opportunities to build South-South or North-South collaborative RD&D and investment that co-benefits national and global climate change action.
