Climate Technology Centre and Network

This document presents the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system of the Climate Technology Centre & Network (CTCN) completed in 2020. It includes the Theory of Change and the Performance Measurement Framework of the CTCN, both of which are in alignment with reporting on the implementation of the Technology Framework under Article 10, paragraph 4, of the Paris Agreement under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Join our CTCN Consortium Partner, the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) for this introductory webinar on technologies for managing disaster risks in the context of climate change.

The CTCN Advisory Board Meeting will be held in Copenhagen from 14-16 September 2015. 

The Climate Technology Centre and Network is accountable to the Conference of the Parties (COP) of the UNFCCC through the CTCN Advisory Board. The Advisory Board meets twice per year and provides direction on the CTCN’s fulfillment of the COP’s guidance.

The Ninth Meeting of the Advisory Board took place at the UN Campus in Bonn (Germany) from 3-5 April, 2017.

In order to strengthen the UNFCCC Technology Mechanism and support the implementation of the Paris Agreement, decision 1/CP.21, paragraph 66 requests the Technology Executive Committee and the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) to undertake further work relating to, inter alia:

1. Technology research, development and demonstration;
2. The development and enhancement of endogenous capacities and technologies.

Canada’s Climate Change Adaptation Platform presents a webinar on exploring opportunities for international export of adaptation technology, goods and services. The webinar will have two parts. 

The UNFCCC Technology Mechanism supports countries in developing and transferring climate technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to a changing climate. Its two bodies, the Technology Executive Committee (TEC) and the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), work together to address policy and implementation issues related to climate technology efforts.

Sustainable green growth is delivered through the synergies of climate-sensitive financial markets, innovation and efficient policy action.  Strong international networks foster successful decarbonisation at local, national and global levels. This event will underline the significance of knowledge, technology transfer, and cross-cutting networks in addressing climate change.
