      The benefits of energy to economic growth and human development are undeniable and also it is a critical enabler for reducing inequities between men and women and boys and girls. Sustainable Development Goals 5 and 7, respectively, aim to achieve gender equality and universal energy access. However, SDG 7 cannot be achieved in isolation as gender equality and the empowerment of women have significant positive impacts on sustained economic growth and there is a vital connection between energy access and gender equality.

      Climate EduXchange India is designed to ensure that teachers and students across the country, network and share relevant ideas, initiatives and information on climate change and related issues with the help of various ICT tools. Over the years the project has reached out to approximately 400 schools and has impacted over 150.000 students and 1000 teachers across the country.

      GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) is a rating tool that helps people assesses the performance of their building against certain nationally acceptable benchmarks. It evaluates the environmental performance of a building holistically over its entire life cycle, thereby providing a definitive standard for what constitutes a ‘green building’. The rating system, based on accepted energy and environmental principles, seeks to strike a balance between the established practices and emerging concepts, both national and international.
