This report analyses the infrastructure requirements for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) in single family residential, multi-family residential and commercial situations. This analysis was conducted in response to the evaluation of PHEVs by the U.S. Department of Energy Vehicle Technologies Program in order to better understand their capability and potential petroleum reduction benefits.
