Studies have shown that an estimated 50-75% of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, and Yobe states are affected by rapidly rising desertification (Azare, 2020).
